This thesis presents the numerical prediction of flow-induced noise. The applied methods of noise prediction are based on a hybrid approach which separates the acoustic propagation from the three-dimensional, time-dependent simulation. During this work process, prediction methods are applied and validated for the flow-induced noise at a forward-facing step. The results of the analysis prove the accuracy of the noise prediction methods and simplified physical source models are presented in accordance with the observations made.
