- Abstract:
- Die Arbeit untersucht retrospektiv über zehn Jahre an 385 Patienten mit benignen und malignen Gallengangstenosen die perkutane transhepatische Cholangiodrainagen (PTCD) Therapie. Hierbei wird u.a. auf Indikationen, Erfolgs- und Komplikationsraten, mit Fokus auf der PTCD Langzeittherapie, eingegangen. Zum Nutzen zukünftiger Patienten werden Risikofaktoren für das Auftreten von katheterassoziierten Komplikationen beschrieben und mögliche Strategien zur Reduzierung dieser Komplikationen diskutiert.

- During a ten year period 385 patients with benign and malignant strictures of the bile ducts and percutaneous transhepatic biliary drainage (PTBD) were retrospectively identified and analyzed regarding indications, success and complications of PTBD. Special focus was set on the long-term PTBD-therapy and drainage dysfunction rates. For the benefit of future patients, risk factors for drainage dysfunction are analyzed and strategies for the reduction of these complications are discussed.
