Abstract:
This paper presents advances in modeling, methods and applications in two important areas of computational biomechanics, namely in respiratory biomechanics and cardiovascular biomechanics. In respiratory biomechanics we are heading towards a comprehensive computational model for the respiratory system. This model will be used for the development of new protective ventilation strategies in the future. The cardiovascular biomechanics project heads for the prediction of rupture risk of abdominal ao...     »
