Abstract:
Mild hypothermia has been shown to improve neurologic outcome after cardiac arrest. Nefopam, a centrally acting, nonsedative analgesic, decreases the threshold of shivering, but not vasoconstriction, and thus might be a suitable drug for induction of therapeutic hypothermia.
