Abstract:
Mixed Reality (MR) is an immersive technology that allows interaction in real-time with real and virtual objects. One of the major technologies of MR is tracking, i.e., determining the pose of an object in a chosen coordinate system. One of the tracking technologies is realized through Inertial Measurement Units (IMUs). This thesis contributes detailed insights into hardware implementation, data enhancement, sensor fusion, and pose estimation by the use of a Multi-IMU system.
