The manufacturing technology planning process is impacted by various crucial factors, such as product life cycles or increasingly strict environmental regulations. Furthermore, the different manufacturing technologies also exhibit cyclical behaviour. As the main interface between product development and production planning, manufacturing technology planning also plays a strategic role within the company. This paper focuses on the dynamic planning process of so-called manufacturing technology chains. Therefore, a concept is presented in order to synchronise the manufacturing technology planning process with the product development process and to increase the efficiency.
