- Abstract:
- In einer retrospektiven Studie über insgesamt 33 Patienten mit suspekten Läsionen der Kopf-Hals-Region wurde der Effekt der PET-MRT-Bildfusion auf die radiologische Diagnose untersucht. Die Kombination aus MRT- und PET-Datensätzen erbrachte sowohl in der Tumor- als auch in der Lymphknotendiagnostik einen Mehrwert im Vergleich zur alleinigen MRT-Interpretation. Die PET-MRT-Bildfusion erwies sich zudem insbesondere auf dem Gebiet der Tumorrezidivdiagnostik als hilfreich.

- The diagnostic value of image fusion from PET and MRI was evaluated in a retrospective study on 33 patients with suspective lesions of the head and neck area. In tumor and lymph node staging the combination of MRI and PET provided added value compared to the single use of MRI. The image fusion turned out to be helpful especially in the detection of recurrent tumors.
