- Es wurden 1088 Erreger aus Blut- und/oder Gallekulturen von 388 Patienten mit 447 Cholangitisepisoden isoliert. Liegende biliäre Endoprothesen bzw. perkutane Gallengangdrainagen scheinen das Erregerspektrum der akuten Cholangitis zu verändern. Dies sollte zukünftig die Auswahl einer empirischen antibiotischen Therapie beeinflussen.

- 1088 pathogens were isolated from positive bile and/or blood cultures. These were obtained from 388 patients with 447 episodes of acute cholangitis. The presence of biliary endoprosthesis in patients with acute cholangitis seems to shift the bacterial spectrum. This should be considered when selecting an empirical antibiotic therapy in the future.
