- An einem Kollektiv von 15.452 Männern im Alter von 45 Jahren wurde die Assoziation zwischen aktueller Medikation und dem PSA untersucht. Es zeigten sich signifikant niedrigere PSA-Werte bei Einnahme von Metformin (-18%), Insulin (-14%), Statinen (-8%), ASS (-11%), Betablockern (-7%), Thiaziddiuretika (-8%), ACE-Hemmern (-5%) und Low-dose-Finasterid 1 mg/Tag (-28%). - We investigated the association of common medication with PSA levels in 15.452 men at the age of 45. PSA levels were significantly lower among men taking metformin (-18%), insulin (-14%), statins (-8%), acetylsalicylic acid (-11%), beta blockers (-7%), thiazide diuretics (-8%), ACE inhibitors (-5%) and low dose finasteride 1 mg/day (-28%), respectively.
