- Die Dissertationsarbeit gibt Aussagen über das funktionelle Outcome nach verschiedenen operativen Versorgungsmodalitäten bei Patellafraktur und ob insbesondere die neuwertige Plattenosteosynthese gegenüber den gängigen Verfahren einen signifikanten Vorteil aufweist. Weitere Aussagen wurden über den Einfluss der Patellahöhe nach Patellafraktur auf das funktionelle Outcome getroffen, sowie die Rückkehr zur sportlichen Belastung nach der Behandlung.

- The dissertation gives statements about the functional outcome regarding different surgical procedures in patella fracture and whether especially the new angle-stable osteosynthesis has a significant advantage. Further statements were made about the influence of the patella height after patella fracture in the clinical outcome, as well as the return to sports after treatment.
