Abstract:: With the rapid growth of user traffic and the need to reduce costs, today's mobile operators are faced with severe challenges. New networking concepts have emerged aiming at cost reduction and flexibility, namely Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Network Virtualization (NV) and Software Defined Networking (SDN). The goal of this thesis is to design an optimal mobile core network based on SDN, NV and NFV.
Translated abstract:: Aufgrund der zunehmenden Steigerung des Nutzerverkehrs und der Notwendigkeit Kosten zu reduzieren, stehen Mobilfunkbetreiber vor vielen Herausforderungen. Neue Netzkonzepte wurden entwickelt, die auf Kostenreduktion und Flexibilität ausgerichtet sind, nämlich Network Functions Virtualization (NFV), Network Virtualization (NV) und Software Defined Networking (SDN). Das Ziel dieser Arbeit ist die Entwicklung eines optimalen Designs für Mobilfunkkernnetze auf Basis von SDN, NV und NFV.
