Abstract:
Enzymes of the alternative terpenoid biosynthesis in Escherichia coli were purified to homogeneity from wild type and recombinant strains by column chromatography. Convenient assay methods for the measurement of enzymes activities were established. The enzymes were characterized in detail. New intermediates and putative inhibitors of the deoxyxylulose phosphate pathway were revealed. Enzyme des alternativen Terpen-Biosynthesewegs wurden in Escherichia coli aus Wild-Typ- und rekombinanten Stämmen mittels Säulenchromatographie zur Homogenität gereinigt. Für die Bestimmung der Enzymaktivitäten wurden geeignete Assay-Methoden eingeführt. Die Enzyme wurden detailliert charakterisiert.
