Abstract:
Dark-field X-ray imaging is a promising new modality for chest radiography. This thesis characterizes image artifacts due to detector crosstalk, scatter from the grating and the sample, and beam hardening, and develops correction methods for them. Furthermore, it analyzes the diagnostic value of dark-field chest radiography for COPD assessment with qualitative and quantitative image evaluations.

Die Dunkelfeld-Röntgenbildgebung ist eine vielversprechende neue Modalität für die Thoraxradiographie. In dieser Arbeit werden Bildartefakte aufgrund von Detektorübersprechen, Streuung am Gitter und an der Probe sowie Strahlaufhärtung charakterisiert und Korrekturmethoden dafür entwickelt. Darüber hinaus wird der diagnostische Wert der Dunkelfeld-Thoraxradiographie für die Beurteilung der COPD anhand qualitativer und quantitativer Bildauswertungen analysiert.
