- The retrosigmoid approach can be described as a leading surgical technique in the area of the cerebellopontine angle. For this matter, a non-interventional, retrospective study of 540 interventions between January 2007 and September 2020 was performed with the aim to classify the collected data in a large review and to investigate the influence of the different variables, especially the technical aspects, on the surgical result and the outcome of the patient.
