Abstract:
PIN-FORMED PROTEINs (PINs) are the main auxin efflux transporters in polar auxin transport in plants. Their localization and activation are under control of AGCVIII kinases. Intra- and intermolecular interactions were discovered as regulators of transport. PINs differ in their transport rates, which is either accomplished through specific domain interactions and/or through interactions with the activating kinase. Differences in transport rates influence the gravitropic root growth and the auxin...     »
