Abstract:
Ziel: Vergleich opportunistischer QCT zu DXA zur Vorhersage inzidenteller Wirbelkörperfrakturen (IF). Methodik: Retrospektive Analyse von Patienten mit Routine CT, DXA und 12 Monats FU. Manuelle Messung trabekulärer BMD und Erhebung des Frakturstatus. Ergebnisse: Patienten mit IF im FU hatten niedrigere BMDQCT Werte. ROC Analyse zeigte dass sich zur Vorhersage IF BMDQCT Werte besser eignen als T-Scores. Schlussfolgerung: BMDQCT eignet sich besser zur Prädiktion von IF als DXA.

Objective: Assessment of opportunistic QCT in comparison to DXA for prediction of incidental spinal fractures (IF). Methods: Retrospective analysis of patients with routine CT, DXA and 12 months FU. Manual sampling of trabecular BMD and evaluation of fracture status. Results: Patients with IF at FU showed lower mean BMDQCT. ROC analysis revealed better prediction of IF using BMDQCT than T-Scores. Conclusions: BMDQCT predicts prevalence of IF better than DXA.
