The key to lifelong learning is the ability to regulate one’s learning well, but learners may need support in doing so, especially in online learning settings. This dissertation contributes with insights to further development of self-regulated learning (SRL) support using advanced learning technologies. Findings from two empirical studies highlight the importance of the deeper investigation into learning processes through both measurement and analysis approaches and provides greater understanding to the implementation and effects of adaptive and personalized SRL support.
