Abstract:
Bei gebesserten Überlebensraten von Intensivpatienten werden deren Langzeitergebnisse zunehmend wichtig. Der demographische Wandel zeigt sich auch in der Population dieser Intensivpatienten. Ein wichtiger Begriff, um eine vulnerable Patientenpopulation zu charakterisieren ist die Frailty. Der funktionelle Status nach einem Intensivaufenthalt zeigte sich in der Vergangenheit als wichtiger prognostischer Faktor. Zu klären sind der Einfluss der Frailty auf Funktionalität und weitere Outcomes.

Improved survival rates of critically ill patients emphasize the importance of patient outcomes. Demographic change leads to a more vulnerable patient cohort. Frailty therefore is an important way of describing these more vulnerable patients. Functionality on the other hand was already shown to be an important prognostic factor in patient outcomes. The impact of frailty on functionality and other patient outcomes is aim of this study.
