The aim of this study was to illustrate the distribution of healthy lymph nodes (Ln) of the mamma in a “3D-healthy lymph node atlas” and to compare their localizations a) to the CTV contouring guidelines of the ESTRO/RTOG and b) to the localizations of Ln metastases. There are regions with many and some with few Ln. The CTV encompass a different number of Ln, allowing a better risk stratification of lymphedema. It's possible to determine areas at high risk for Ln metastases more precisely, as well.     «
