- 2012 wurde in Deutschland die sog. Praxisgebühr abgeschafft. Die Dissertation untersuchte den Effekt auf die hausärztliche Versorgungssteuerung anhand retrospektiver Analysen kassenärztlicher Leistungsdaten. Nach Abschaffung war ein deutlicher Rückgang hausärztlicher Steuerung zu beobachten. Die Ergebnisse legen nahe, dass die Praxisgebühr ein in Teilen effektives Instrument war. Zukünftige Studien sollten untersuchen, wie die koordinierende Rolle deutscher Hausärzt*innen gestärkt werden könnte... »
- Translated abstract:
- In 2012, Germany abolished copayment for consultations in ambulatory care. This doctoral thesis investigated the effect on GP-centred coordination of care using retrospective analyses of claims data. After abolition, a substantial decrease in GP-coordinated specialist care was observable. The results suggest that the copayment was a partly effective tool to support coordinated care. Future studies are required investigate how the coordinating role of GPs in Germany can best be strengthened.
