Das Ziel der Studie war der Vergleich zweier unterschiedlicher Verschlussstrategien (Verschlusssysteme [VCD] vs. manuelle Kompression) nach diagnostischer Koronarangiographie über die A. femoralis communis. Insgesamt wurden 4524 Patienten (April 2011 bis Mai 2014) in 4 deutschen Zentren eingeschlossen. Die Ergebnisse dieser Studie zeigen, dass VCD – in Bezug auf Komplikationen der Punktionsstelle – der manuellen Kompression nicht unterlegen sind. Zudem zeigte sich eine verkürzte Zeit bis zur Hämostase in der VCD-Gruppe im Vergleich zur manuellen Kompressionsgruppe.     «

The aim of this randomized trial was to compare two different hemostasis strategies (a VCD-based strategy with 2 types of devices vs. the standard manual compression) after diagnostic coronary angiography performed via transfemoral access. A total of 4524 patients were enrolled (April 2011 until May 2014) in 4 centers in Germany. The results of this trial demonstrate that VCDs were noninferior to manual compression in terms of vascular access site complications. Moreover time to hemostasis was shorter in patients assigned to a VCD compared to those with manual compression.     «
