Abstract:
Within this work a promising alternative to conventional low-frequency transformers (LFTs) operating at 50 Hz is investigated. By increasing the operating frequency of the transformer, by means of power electronic switching networks, the build volume can drastically be reduced. The proposed elimination of electrolytic capacitors makes it possible to create a smaller, lighter and resource friendlier alternative to conventional LFTs, without sacrificing the lifetime and reliability significantly.

Es wird eine zukunftsträchtigere Alternative zu 50 Hz Niederfrequenz-Transformatoren (LFT) untersucht. Durch das Erhöhen der Betriebsfrequenz des Transformators, mittels leistungselektronischen Schaltnetzwerken, kann die Baugröße drastisch reduziert werden. Die Eliminierung des Energiespeichers in Form von Elektrolytkondensatoren macht es möglich eine kleinere, leichtere und umweltfreundlichere Alternative zu erschaffen, ohne dabei die Lebensdauer und Zuverlässigkeit signifikant zu reduzieren.
