- Abstract:
- Chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) is not curable despite new, targeted therapies and new therapy concepts are needed. In this work we show that the RANK receptor is a crucial factor in the interaction of CLL cells with their environment and can be blocked therapeutically. In addition, we show that signal hyperactivation using phosphatase inhibition is an attractive new strategy for CLL therapy that can be used to treat both CLL-induced immunosuppression and Ibrutinib-resistant CLL.

- Chronische Lymphatische Leukämie (CLL) ist trotz neuer, zielgerichteter Therapien nicht heilbar und neue Therapiekonzepte werden benötig. In dieser Arbeit zeigen wir, dass der Rezeptor RANK ein entscheidender Faktor bei der Interaktion von CLL Zellen mit ihrer Umgebung ist und therapeutisch blockiert werden kann.
