Title:
Hematopoietic ChemR23 (Chemerin Receptor 23) Fuels Atherosclerosis by Sustaining an M1 Macrophage-Phenotype and Guidance of Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cells to Murine Lesions-Brief Report.
Abstract:
Objective- Expression of the chemokine-like receptor ChemR23 (chemerin receptor 23) has been specifically attributed to plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs) and macrophages and ChemR23 has been suggested to mediate an inflammatory immune response in these cells. Because chemokine receptors are important in perpetuating chronic inflammation, we aimed to establish the role of ChemR23-deficiency on macrophages and pDCs in atherosclerosis. Approach and Results- ChemR23-knockout/knockin mice expressin...     »
