- Translated abstract:
- Mortality and the risk for cognitive impairment are increased in hemodialysis patients. The goal of the study was to test whether an impaired global cognitive function is an independent predictor of mortality and hospitalization in hemodialysis patients. MoCA-test (Montreal Cognitive Assessment) was used as the test instrument of global cognitive function. Impaired global cognitive function is an independent predictor of mortality, however, not hospitalization in hemodialysis patients.
