Description:
This data set contains measurement data from thermal runaway propagation tests of two automotive lithium-ion batteries with NMC-811 and LFP cathodes. For further cell specifications, please refer to the linked article. The measurements provide data on cell voltages and temperatures in the cell module, at the safety vents, and on the module surface as .mat files and .txt files. In addition, two videos of the experiments are presented.
Method of data assessment:
Please refer to the linked article for instructions on the individual experimental setup and specifications. The measurement data was recorded using imc CANSASflex-UNI8 and CANSASflex-SCI16 measurement modules. The raw data was recorded by logging a CAN bus via Vector CANalyzer software and then converted to .mat-files. The thermal imaging data was recorded with a FLIR A70 thermal imaging camera and analyzed using FLIR Research Studio software version 2.1.0.
