- Abstract:
- Die Sicherheit der Plasmapherese wurde anhand einer retrospektiven Datenanalyse von 396 Plasmapherese-Protokollen von 32 Patienten mit einer Kollagenose untersucht. Am häufigsten traten katheterassoziierte Komplikationen, Infekte und Blutdruckentgleisungen auf. Die meisten Komplikationen waren gut beherrschbar und durch engmaschiges Monitoring frühzeitig zu erkennen. Einige Risikofaktoren für das Auftreten von Komplikationen konnten identifiziert werden.

- We reviewed the safety of therapeutic plasma exchange by analyzing retrospectively 396 plasma exchange procedures performed on 32 patients with connective tissue diseases. The most frequent complications were associated with vascular access, followed by infectious complications and hyper-/hypotension. In the majority of cases adverse effects were mild and could be recognized early by continuous monitoring. Some risk factors increasing the incidence of adverse effects could be identified.
