Abstract:
Cardiomyocyte loss via apoptosis plays a crucial role in ventricular remodeling following myocardial infarction (MI). Cell-based therapy approaches using bone marrow derived c-kit? pluripotent cells may attenuate apoptosis following ischemic injury.
