Abstract:
Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1) kann eine Rolle in der Tumorzellstressantwort spielen, in dem es Signalwege zur Stressreduktion aktiviert. TIMP-1 erhöhte die Aktivität des PI3K/AKT/HIF 1-Signalweges und steigerte die Expression der microRNA miR-210. Im Wirt bewirkte TIMP-1 eine Akkumulation von Lipiden in der Leber und eine Anreicherung von immunsuppressiver Arginase-1 in zirkulierenden Exosomen. TIMP-1 wirkte damit tumorfördernd in verschiedenen Stadien der Tumorprogression.
Translated abstract:
Tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinases-1 (TIMP-1) may play a role in tumor cell stress response by activating central pathways involved in stress release. TIMP-1 increased activity of the PI3K/AKT/HIF-1 pathway which cumulated in the increased expression of the microRNA miR-210. In the host, TIMP-1 led to an accumulation of lipids in the liver and an enrichment of immune-suppressive Arginase-1 in circulating exosomes. TIMP-1 is thereby capable of promoting different stages of cancer progression.
