The internal bracing of the elbow has steadily gained importance in recent years. Biomechanical studies have shown comparable stability between internal bracing and ligament reconstruction procedures. In the clinical practice, particular attention must be paid to the correct anatomical positioning of the anchor points. Promising clinical results have been observed with a rapid return to sports activities and low complication rates.
