- Abstract:
- Ziel dieser Arbeit ist es, die Rolle authentischer Objekte in den Ausstellungen von Museen zu untersuchen. In insgesamt drei Besucherstudien im Deutschen Museum in München werden die Wahrnehmung und Bewertung von Museumsobjekten sowie die Verarbeitung der durch sie vermittelten Inhalte analysiert. Dabei stehen unterschiedliche Aspekte von Authentizität im Fokus: Zum einen sind dies die Materialität und Drei-Dimensionalität von Objekten, zum anderen ihre Originalität und historische Bedeutung.

- The goal of this work is to investigate the role of authentic objects in the exhibitions of museums. In three visitors studies in the Deutsches Museum in Munich the perception and evaluation of museum objects as well as the processing of their imparted information are analyzed. Thereby, different aspects of authenticity occupy center stage: on the one hand these are the materiality and three-dimensionality of objects, and on the other hand these are their originality and historical significance.
