In many sheet metal forming processes, springback is a major concern, complicating tooling designs. The major target of this thesis is to analyze the accuracy of a springback simulation and to identify the influence of numerical, geometrical, material and process parameters. For this sensitivity analysis a flanging model is used with a number of different set-ups and materials. Different element formulations and miscellaneous material models are investigated for a reliable forecast of springback. The correctness of the model that is used in this sensitivity analysis is verified with a comparison between the predicted results and the corresponding experiments. The predicted results show a good agreement with the experimental results.     «
