- Die Freilandhaltung von Geflügel birgt die Gefahr eines Infektionsrisikos durch Wildtiere, insbesondere durch Vögel. Mit Hilfe molekularbiologischer Methoden (PCR) wurde nachgewiesen, dass eine praxisnahe Volierenhaltung zu keiner signifikanten Reduktion des Eintrags von organischem Material aviären Ursprungs führt; allerdings weisen deutlich verminderte Verlustraten auf einen wirksamen Schutz vor direktem Kontakt mit Wildtieren hin, woraus eine Reduktion des Infektionsrisikos resultiert.
- Translated abstract:
- Free-range poultry involves the danger of a risk of infection by wild animals, especially by birds. Using molecular biological methods (PCR) it has been shown that a practical aviary system does not reduce significantly the input of organic material of avian origin; however, clearly reduced loss rates indicate an effective protection against the direct contact with wild animals, giving reason to expect a reduction of the risk of infection.
