Abstract:
This study shows that truncation of the CaV1.2 gene at Asp-1904 has tissue-dependent effects: proteasomal degradation of the channel in ventricular CMs, up-regulation of CaV1.3 in atrial CMs, and no obvious effect on the channel in smooth muscle tissue.

Die vorliegende Arbeit zeigt, dass eine Verkürzung des CaV1.2 Gens ab Asp-1904 folgende gewebe-spezifische Effekte in der Maus hat: in ventrikulären Herzmuskelzellen wird der Kanal proteasomal abgebaut, in Vorhofmuskelzellen wird der CaV1.3 Kanal hochreguliert, während die Verkürzung im glattmuskulären Gewebe offenbar keine Veränderung verursacht.
