Title:
Effect of Active Cruise Control Design on Glance Behaviour and Driving Performance
Abstract:
Driver distraction is a key aspect in the design of new driver assistance systems and in-vehicle information systems. These systems should intuitively support the driver without distracting from the primary driving task. This study investigated two different interface concepts of an Active Cruise Control (ACC) system, where both the desired speed and following distance can be adjusted.
