- Abstract:
- Based on a multi-sited ethnography, the dissertation develops multiple flat, symmetrical and complex accounts of the inter-organisational and transnational circulation of data in the realm of the Frontex Joint Operation Poseidon. By focusing on frictions and several modes of infrastructuring, it outlines a heterogeneous and fragmented data space and analyses the effects this information infrastructure has on practices and processes of European border control.

- Auf der Grundlage einer multi-sited Ethnographie entwickelt die Arbeit multiple, flache und symmetrische Beschreibungen über die interorganisationalen und transnationalen Datenflüsse im Rahmen der Frontex Joint Operation Poseidon. Mit dem Fokus auf Friktionen und verschiedenen Modi des Infrastrukturierens zeichnet sie die Formierung eines fragmentierten Daten-Raums nach und analysiert die Auswirkungen dieser Informationsinfrastruktur auf Praktiken und Prozesse europäischer Grenzkontrolle.
