Abstract:
Background: Neuroimaging studies show that obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is characterized by an alteration of the cortico-striato-thalamo-cortical (CSTC) system in terms of an imbalance of activity between the direct and the indirect loop of the CSTC.
