- Die vorliegende Forschungsarbeit entwickelt auf Basis experimenteller Tests eine Berechnungsmethode zur Lebensdauerbewertung von Strukturbauteilen aus karbonfaserverstärkten SMC-Materialien und setzt diese in einer durchgängigen Simulationskette um. Die Modellansätze berücksichtigen relevante Einflüssgrößen wie Faserorientierung, Belastungen sowie geometrische Kerben. Eine abschließende Validierung der Methode bestätigt deren Anwendbarkeit.

- The present doctoral thesis has developed an approach to the lifetime assessment of structural components manufactured from carbon fibre-reinforced sheet moulding compounds on the basis of extensive experimental tests. The developed method was transposed in a consistent simulation chain using commercial software tools.
