- Abstract:
- Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) using information dissemination techniques can steer the traffic flow into a more efficient operational state. However, the traffic participants massively using navigation recommendations can introduce new dynamics with potentially detrimental effects. The main contribution of this work is the identification of several phenomena related to information flow in transportation systems by performing a set of experiments using an agent-based simulation.

- Intelligente Transportsysteme (ITS) können mit Hilfe von Informationsverteilung zu einer deutlichen Verbesserung des Straßenverkehrs beitragen. Allerdings besteht die Möglichkeit, dass Kraftfahrer mit Navigationsempfehlungen massiv nachteilige Rückwirkungen auf Transportsysteme haben. Der Hauptbeitrag dieser Arbeit ist die Identifizierung verschiedener solcher Phänomene anhand von Experimenten mit Agenten-basierten Verkehrssimulationen.
