This contribution presents the results of an evaluation of algorithms for simultaneous optimization applied to problems encountered regularly in the design process of full vehicles. Several impact load cases, e.g. frontal impacts, side impacts, rear, and pole impacts, and problems occurring from noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) studies of a full car are considered. Cases of low and high velocity crashworthiness are regarded. The objectives of the optimizations are on the one-hand side the reduction of mass and on the otherhand the improvement of the functionality of car bodies.     «
