abstract = {Many new ventures are started and run by entrepreneurial teams. Paradoxically, entrepreneurs have been also portrayed as self-interest maximizing, rugged individuals who build a new organization on their own as a ‘lone hero’. This dissertation addresses this paradox and explores how entrepreneurs can successfully collaborate in teams. Based on an inductive theory building study this dissertation introduces the concept of quietening the ego for intra-team collaboration and ego-transcendence for team-external collaboration. The emerged conceptual model provides novel insights for the literature streams on entrepreneurial teams and opportunity development.},
