There is strong evidence that these alterations play a substantial role in the development of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD). In this study differences between small and large adipocytes within the same subject were investigated with respect to insulin sensitivity, and their transcriptome and proteome. Furthermore, the influence of adipocytes on parameters of liver metabolism like gluconeogenesis was analysed by the treatment of hepatocytes with either fat cell-conditioned media or defined pro-inflammatory adipokines.}, keywords = {}, note = {}, url = {https://mediatum.ub.tum.de/1141208}, }
