The present research thesis describes the in-vitro-analysis of various types of cleansing and of an additional surface coating with RGD-peptides in order to optimise adhesion and proliferation of endothelial cells on human bone.
Only cleansing with acetone could enhance adhesion of RGD-coated bone, but the additional RGD-coating benefitted proliferation of endothelial cells after all of the tested cleansing methods.
Consequently, the available in-vitro-results are promising regarding the optimised incorporation of allogenic bone grafts after adding a surface coating with RGD-peptides.
