- Gegenstand der Doktorarbeit ist das Zyanidantidot 4-DMAP. Anhand von 8 Fällen von Zyanidvergifteten, welche im Klinikum Rechts der Isar mit 4-DMAP behandelt wurden, sowie zahlreichen Vergiftungsfällen aus der Fachliteratur und verschiedenen Tierstudien wird die Wirkung dieses Antidots untersucht und mit anderen Zyanidantidoten verglichen. Aus diesen Untersuchungen geht 4-DMAP als schnell und zuverlässig wirkendes Antidot mit verhältnismäßig geringen Nebenwirkungen hervor.
- Translated abstract:
- Subject of the MD Thesis is the cyanide antidote 4-DMAP. It is based on 8 cases of cyanide poisoning which were treated with 4-DMAP in the Klinikum Rechts der Isar. Furthermore a number of cases of intoxication by cyanide from the medical literature and from animal studies were used to analyse the effect of this antidote and compared with other cyanide antidotes. Based on these studies, 4-DMAP proved to be a fast and reliably functioning antidote with relatively minor side-effects.
