Abstract:
Die Cellulosesynthese in Essigsäurebakterien wie in Komagataeibacter hansenii-Stämmen dient als Modell für die Untersuchung der allgemeinen Enzymologie der Cellulosesynthese. In dieser Arbeit wurden markerfreie in-frame Deletionen der Gene der Cellulose-Sythasen (bcsAB1, bcsAB2, bcsAB3) hergestellt. Sowohl Einzel- als auch Doppeldeletionen dieser Gene wurden verwendet, um den individuellen Beitrag des/der verbliebenen Cellulose-Synthase-Gens/Gene sowie deren kombinierte Funktion zu ermitteln.
Translated abstract:
Cellulose synthesis in acetic acid bacteria like Komagataeibacter hansenii strains serves as a model to study the general enzymology of cellulose synthesis. During this study, markerless in-frame deletions of the genes for cellulose synthases (bcsAB1, bcsAB2, bcsAB3) were constructed. Single as well as double deletions were used to assess the individual contribution of the remaining cellulose synthase genes and their combined function.
