Abstract:: With the present dissertation, I attempted to conceptually replicate and extend previous research on self-infiltration. Altogether, the conceptual replication attempts failed. Whereas a first experimental study provided preliminary evidence for the existence of self-infiltration and the mediating role of self-access, additional conceptual replication attempts failed to the extent that no hypotheses were supported in two follow-up studies. Die Replikationsversuche schlugen insgesamt fehl. Während eine erste experimentelle Studie vorläufige Befunde für die Existenz von Selbst-Infiltration und die vermittelnde Rolle von Selbstzugang lieferte, schlugen weitere Replikationsversuche in zwei Folgestudien fehl. Drei mögliche Ursachen für ein Scheitern von (konzeptionellen) Replikationen wurden herangezogen und diskutiert. «
