- Abstract:
- The dissertation is about the implementation of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) adopted at the UN Conference on Environment and Development in 1992. Through qualitative content analysis and interviews it shows the interplay of discourse, actors, power and rules of the game surrounding the national biodiversity strategies in Germany and Japan. There have been incremental policy changes surrounding the policy area of biodiversity since 1992 in both countries.

- Die Dissertation behandelt die Umsetzung der Convention on Biological Diversity, welche im Rahmen der UN-Konferenz über Umwelt und Entwicklung ins Leben gerufen wurde. Auf der Basis einer qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse und Leitfadeninterviews wird das Zusammenspiel von Diskurs, Akteuren, Macht und politischen Regeln rund um die Biodiversitätsstrategien in Japan und Deutschland aufgezeigt. Es konnten inkrementelle Veränderungen im Politikfeld Biodiversität in beiden Ländern nachgewiesen werden.
