- Abstract:
- A flawless technical performance of stapled anastomoses is crucial to prevent anastomotic leakage following colorectal resections. The minimal height of the anastomotic rings as indicator for a technically insufficient anastomosis is good predictor of anastomotic leakage, compared to established inflammatory markers. It´s real-time availability allows for early countermeasures such as revision of the anastomosis or at least careful postoperative surveillance of patients at risk.

- Eine einwandfreie technische Durchführung von Klammernahtreihen bei Darmanastomosen ist essentiell. Die Unterschreitung einer kritischen minimalen Höhe der Anastomosenringe hat hohe Vorhersagekraft bezüglich des Auftretens von postoperativen Anastomoseninsuffizienzen, auch im Vergleich zu postoperativen Entzündungsmarkern. Die intraoperative Verfügbarkeit erlaubt frühzeitige Gegenmaßnahmen, wie eine operative Revision oder eine sorgfältige postoperative Überwachung von Risikopatienten.
