- Eine zunehmende Anzahl an Operationen im höheren Lebensalter erhöht die Anzahl der durchgeführten Narkosen bei Patienten mit kognitiven Defiziten, wie der Alzheimer-Demenz (AD). - Translated abstract:
- An increasing number of surgical procedures in the elderly raise the amount of anesthesia performed in patients with cognitive deficits, such as Alzheimer’s Disease (AD). Thus, our work examines the influence of two hours of anesthesia with Isoflurane on neurocognition, behavior, motor function and selected molecular biomarkers in the Tg2576 mouse model of AD. As AD is a sex-dependent disease, we consider both female and male test animals in this study.
