Abstract:
Serious Games combine the world of playing games for entertainment with the world of learning. Three different Serious Games were implemented on the topic of tangible as well as intangible cultural heritage: DragonTale (Japanese Kanji), Oppidum (History and Culture of the Celts) and HieroQuest (Egyptian Hieroglyphs). Through appropriate studies with corresponding questionnaires, the respective effects of the Serious Games were investigated, especially regarding their knowledge transfer.

Serious Games verbinden die Welt des Spielens zur Unterhaltung mit der Welt des Lernens. Es wurden drei verschiedene Serious Games zum Thema materielles sowie immaterielles Kulturerbe implementiert: DragonTale (Japanische Kanji), Oppidum (Geschichte und Kultur der Kelten) und HieroQuest (Hieroglyphen). Durch geeignete Studien mit entsprechenden Fragebögen wurden die jeweiligen Effekte der Serious Games insbesondere in Bezug auf den Wissenstransfer untersucht.
